How to Create the Best Bath

Life is stressful. There’s no doubt about it. We all have things that are constantly fighting for our attention whether it’s work, kids, social media, or even your dog. And sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming. So, take a minute for yourself and practice some self care. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated, aesthetic, or even long. Just take some time for yourself. Maybe take a walk. Have a cup of tea. Or my favorite, soak away your troubles in a luxurious bath.

The number one essential ingredient in any bath is bath salts. I’m not talking about the kind of bath salts that make you want to rip someone’s face off (even though, sometimes you want to after driving in Miami traffic). No, I’m talking about the bath salts that make your bath feel silky smooth and soften your skin. I’m talking about my favorite bath salts, Wild Yonder Bath Salts

Pour these babies into the water as you’re filling your bath up for the best results. They’re definitely going to upgrade your bath routine.

One of my favorite things about Wild Yonder Bath Salts is that they’re made with natural ingredients like quartz-charged sea salt, Epsom salt, bio-dynamic honey, and different essential oils. And they smell absolutely amazing. Picture yourself washing your worries away as you sink into jasmine water with a fresh cup of tea. That’s my version of self-care.

After your bath salts, the next essential ingredient in any bath is a yummy-smelling candle, and my all-time favorite candle is the Simper Goods Moonglow & Wishes Candle. This candle smells like an actual birthday cake. Its sweet vanilla notes combine amazingly with a full, warm subtle woodsy smell to create an amazing scentscape that transports you away from your troubles.

Plus, you can also feel good about this candle because it’s made in the United States using domestically grown cotton. It’s the perfect way to support ethically-made goods while enjoying a relaxing evening to yourself.

#selfcare

While you’re soaking and practicing some self care, don’t forget to exfoliate! Immersing yourself in warm water is the best way to open up your pores. So, take advantage of your bath and scrub some of that dead skin off. And afterward, your skin will be soft and smooth, and you’ll feel like the goddess that you really are.

My favorite scrub is the Moon Nectar Coffee Coconut Scrub because it’s all-natural, and it smells delicious. The Moon Nectar Coffee Coconut Scrub is only made of four simple ingredients: coffee grounds, coconut oil, Epsom salt, and vitamin E oil. Most other scrubs have harsh chemicals or abrasive materials scratching and drying your skin out, but with this one, you don’t have to worry. You can simply focus on enjoying your bath while knowing that you’re using the best products for your skin.

My next favorite thing to do in the bath is to roll it out! Every bath I make sure to use my crystal roller to increase circulation and blood flow in my skin. Facial massage is a great tactic to minimize the effects of aging and just relax in general. It reduces puffiness and helps your skin products absorb into your skin better. And, who doesn’t love a good face massage?

My go-to face roller is the Black & Jane Crystal Face Roller. I like this roller over other ones because it’s made out of real crystal, and it feels oh so smooth. I usually use my roller during the last few minutes of my bath. And then I moisturize as soon as I get out. I find that it helps my lotion absorb into my skin better, and I also feel pretty glamorous when I use it.

The last step in my bath ritual is to moisturize my skin with some luxurious, sweet-smelling body oil. It’s super important to moisturize every time you get out of the bath or shower to lock in that hydration and keep your skin silky smooth, especially if you just exfoliated. The body oil I’ve been obsessed with lately is Soprano Labs’s Jasmine Rose Sensual Body Oil.

It’s light and doesn’t feel greasy. Plus, it smells like a field of fresh wildflowers. I also like to use it in my hair to combat the effects of spending too much time in the sun and sea :) This body oil is also hypoallergenic, paraben-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free, silicone-free, and non-GMO. So, you can rest assured that there are no preservatives in it, and no animals were harmed.
