Fairy hair, as you see in the picture below, are little bits of silk tied in your hair. We love fairy hair because it’s a small, simple way to bring a little sparkle to your everyday life and brighten up your week. It’s fun, but not a super big style change that takes commitment. It’s basically the safer and less drastic alternative to bangs.

Our fairy hair expert, Julia Beiley, is a sophomore at Miami Palmetto Senior High. She originally started doing fairy hair on her friends just for fun, but now she’s saving up to buy her own car. I love having Julia in the shop because she has a strong entrepreneurial spirit at such a young age, and her fairy hair brightens up the shop and makes us all feel a little more whimsical.

Fairy hair is great because it’s not at all damaging to your hair. It falls out naturally with your own hair, so when the strand it’s tied to falls out, the fairy hair strand will fall out. How long your fairy hair lasts pretty much depends on how much you shed.
The fairy hair that Julia uses is different from other fairy hair because it’s made out of silk, not plastic— like the other stuff you find on Amazon. Silk works better as fairy hair because it adheres to your hair better, and it doesn’t melt with heat styling tools.

We’re currently the only place where you can get authentic, silk fairy hair done in the Miami/ Fort Lauderdale area. Be sure to book an appointment for this week. You can either come in for 10 or 20 strands. You can choose one single color or mix and match however many you like—the possibilities are endless. Ten strands cost $25, and 20 strands cost $45. Payment is accepted through Venmo or cash.
