Meadow Collective Picks: Dani

Keeping up with my last post. I’d like to take the time to thank all the people who make Meadow Collective happen: friends, family, customers, and of course my team of girls who help me run the shop, create content, and keep me sane. A couple of weeks ago, I introduced Lindsey and her favorite items from the shop. This week it’s Dani!

When I first met Dani, I could instantly tell that she loved fashion as much as I did. I could see her passion through how she styled her everyday looks and how she put together outfits for customers. I love her style and how she pairs vintage pieces with newer items and trends to create a classic, timeless look. Dani started working in the shop, but over the last year, she’s helped me navigate the depths of Instagram Reels and has helped me put together fun content. I don’t know what I’d do without her! And even though I’m grateful for all of her help, I’m even more grateful to have met such an inspiring young woman!

Tell us a bit about yourself:

Hi, my name is Dani. I work at the brick-and-mortar and also help Meadow create trending and fun content for our Instagram! I have a passion for fashion and creativity, and ever since I was little I knew I wanted to be surrounded by beautiful clothes.

How would you describe your style?

It's hard to describe my style in one way because I love everything. From beachy to edgy, to Y2K, to neutrals, I like to explore fashion all the time. But if I had to choose, I'd say I'm someone who likes to dress it up. If I could wear heels all day, I totally would. I love playing dress up, and I'm definitely the friend you go to for an outfit for any occasion.

What’s one trend you’re loving right now?

Right now I've been totally loving the flower choker trend. I love accessorizing when going out, and it's Carrie Bradshaw. I love matching the color of the choker to whatever I'm wearing as well. It's been a little more fun than my everyday gold necklaces.

One item in your closet you’ll never get rid of and why?

There is this little black mini Fendi shoulder bag that was my mom’s when she was my age, and she gave it to me when I was 17. I call it my lucky bag. I take it everywhere with me, and it's my go-to going-out bag. It's a classic bag that matches all my outfits. It also makes me feel closer to my mom wherever I go. I almost feel her youth and her memories when I'm out making mine!

What’s your favorite thing about Meadow Collective?

Being here for about 2 years now, I can honestly say I love that I can be myself. The shop is a safe place, and it's like our little home. The community is so giving, and I love engaging in cool conversations with our customers. It doesn't seem like a chore to be here. Not to mention our strive for sustainability and high-quality goodies. ( which as a fashion girly, is everything.) Meadow also is a huge part of my life now, and she truly inspires me so much. I love being surrounded by empowering women!

the best outfits to wear for fall

Lately, I’ve been loving neutral tones, so for my look, I pulled together a kind of beachy, end-of-the-summer, Y2K-inspired look. I think this is the perfect outfit to wear out to a farmer’s market, shopping around the city, or out to brunch with some friends. The base of this outfit is this beautiful Tanah Folk skirt. One of my favorite things about this skirt is that you can adjust the height of the slit. If I’m going for more of a casual, breezy look, I’ll unbutton a few of the buttons to show a bit more leg. I paired this skirt with our Rolla’s Dallas vest in classic denim. I have to say this might be one of my favorite pieces ever. I think this vest embodies Y2K fashion in a modern way that seems trendy, not tacky. You can virtually pair it with anything to create an interesting look that’s bound to stand out.

For accessories, I picked these Sansa sandals made of natural upcycled rope, these late 90s-style Crap sunglasses, and this Binge Amalfi Bucket Bag. I absolutely love the natural rope style of the sandals and the bag, and they perfectly complement the neutral tones of this Tanah Folk skirt and the denim Rolla’s vest to create a classic summer look.

I had to add a couple more of my favorite things too like these mini disco balls that we currently only have in the shop! And I’m obsessed with this rose quartz face roller and Native Nectar Hyaluronic Plumping serum because skincare matters! Plus, these Hack Your Nervous System cards have been a savior lately when I get stressed.
