Meadow Collective Picks: Lindsey

This summer has flown by. I can’t believe that it’s already almost September, but I’m excited for fall. Summer is usually our slowest season, and between everyone traveling and preparing for the upcoming season, sometimes things can seem a bit stagnant.

I remember when I first opened my shop, I would dread the summer season because I was pulled in two different directions. I wanted to keep the shop afloat and plan for an awesome holiday season, but I also wanted to travel and partake in the summer fun. Thankfully, as I’ve grown my team, I’ve been able to do both. I’m so grateful for my girls. They’ve helped me grow my business and given me the time to enjoy being a business owner. So to say thanks, I’m bringing some recognition to my girls and their favorite things in the shop. This week, I want to introduce Lindsey.

I first met Lindsey rollerskating. I immediately loved her energy. She was so welcoming and encouraging, and she helped introduce me to Miami’s rollerskating community. Through the last couple of years, I’ve been privileged to have Lindsey help me create content and promote the Meadow Collective dream, and I’m even more privileged to have gotten the chance to know such an amazing person.

Tell us a bit about yourself:

I’m Lindsey and I love being outdoors, traveling, rollerskating, and snapping photos. I also love meeting new people and hosting skate events in Miami.

How would you describe your style?

Lately, my style can be described as sporty and chic. It’s so hot in Miami for the summer, and there’s a 100% chance that I’m sweating. So, I always try to see what I can do with the most minimal clothing items. Recently, I’ve been pairing bright-colored sports bras or bathing suit tops with oversized cargo pants. I’ve also been very inspired by oversized Japanese layering styles. So, if I plan to be indoors, I’ll bring a large oversized shirt or jacket.

What’s one trend you’re loving right now?

I’ve been drawn to Metallic footwear lately. I recently customized a pair of bright pink metallic cowboy boots into skates, and I am in love with them.

One item in your closet you’ll never get rid of and why?

These paint-splattered wide-legged pants from Free People Movement. I hardly ever take them off. I’ll keep them even if they don’t fit me anymore. Oh also, shoes… I have a hard time getting rid of shoes.

What’s your favorite thing about Meadow Collective?

I love that every single item in Meadow Collective is eco-friendly and designed with purpose, not to mention the material of the clothing makes for amazing pieces that will surely last for several generations. I also love how stylish everything is, and Meadow is just as incredible!

best outfits to wear in Miami

So glad I’m getting to share some of my favorite things in the shop with you guys :) For my look, I pulled together a 70s-inspired sort of vibe. I love the fashion associated with that time period, and I feel like it shows in this outfit. As a whole, this outfit is super groovy, and I feel like it’s something I would wear running errands, rollerskating, out to lunch, etc.

The base of this outfit are these Salté Frankie Wide Leg Flares and this Spell Foxglove Embroidered Shirt. Like I mentioned before, I love a good pair of wide-leg pants, and these are giving some major Donna from That 70s Show energy. This Spell overshirt pairs perfectly and adds a bit of earthy contrast to the pants’ floral print. I also picked our Chevron High Neck Crop Top in Ash Rose to match the pink tones in the pants, and since it’s so hot in Miami, I’m realistically only wearing the crop and the pants when I’m out walking around. The Spell overshirt is a nice piece to throw over my shoulders when I’m inside.

For accessories, I picked my four favorite things in the shop that also just happen to work perfectly with this outfit: a good hair clip that matches the pants’ flower power energy, this Summer Lovin’ Bucket Hat, this pair of Crap sunglasses, and these adorable suede cowboy boots
