What to Wear for the Fourth of July
Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. Besides having a little more time to travel and spend time with my family, I love summer fashion. There’s something about the airy fabrics and casual nature of summer fashion that I absolutely love. It’s almost like summer fashion reflects the vibe of the season. Things slow down a bit, and you have time to enjoy the longer days and fun holidays throughout the summer. That said, the Fourth of July is coming up quickly, so I thought we’d highlight a few of our favorite items in the shop to wear for the Fourth of July.
Of course, when you’re thinking about what to wear on the Fourth of July, you’re thinking something along the lines of red, white, and blue. But that doesn’t mean that you have to wear all of them. A simple pair of blue jeans or cut-off jean shorts and a white tee is the perfect Americana-inspired Fourth of July outfit. It’s simple, and something about it seems more classic than whatever fast fashion Fourth of July-themed outfit you’re only going to wear once.
What to Wear for the Fourth of July
Starting off with red, the first item we have for your Fourth of July plans is our Arnhem Angelis Sundress in Ruby. Ever since we got this dress in stock, I’ve been obsessing over it. I love getting pieces like this in because it just embodies boho chic. Aside from being the perfect thing to wear for a Fourth of July barbecue or watching the fireworks, I imagine wearing this dress by the coast or in the countryside, spending long days walking through farmer’s markets and hanging with my closest friends. I love the v-neck on this piece that you can make as deep or modest as you want. And it’s perfect to pair with boots or these natural upcycled cotton rope sandals we have in the shop.
We just got these sandals in for the summer, and they’ve been super popular! I think they’re really capitalizing on the mermaidcore/ vacation girl trend. But my favorite thing about them is that they’re made of 100% upcycled cotton, and they’re sustainably and ethically made in India—major win for slow fashion!
To add a touch of white to your Fourth of July outfit, we’re also loving the white Baja hat. It’s giving a little bit of a coastal cowgirl, but we imagine wearing it by the beach or pool in a bikini soaking up the summer rays. Handmade by artisans, this piece will quickly become a staple in your summer wardrobe. It’s that perfect extra touch that adds a little bit of extra flair to any outfit.
Continuing with our white color scape, we also have these lovely Nicolette earrings. These are personally some of my favorite earrings in the shop. Pearls and gold are timeless, and a pair of earrings like this can be re-styled outside of your Fourth of July plans. They’re a necessary staple to your wardrobe, and they can either add polish to a simple tee shirt or complete a nighttime look.
The next item we’re highlighting is the Arnhem Angelis Blouse in Sapphire. I love this top for summer because it’s light and airy, and you can customize it for the occasion by buttoning or unbuttoning the front. Looking for an easy, no-fuss beach cover-up, unbutton the entire piece. Or if you want more of a daytime, brunch look, you can use more of the buttons. Its versatility is what makes this piece great for your Fourth of July plans. Barbecue, beach, pool, you can wear it to everything.
Up next are these Diviana Earrings by Navone and this Binge Knitting Clutch with fringe. I love both of these accessories for the same reason; they’re the ultimate statement pieces. The lapis lazuli beads on the Navone earrings add the perfect pop of blue and are the perfect piece of jewelry if you’re wearing any type of asymmetric neckline. And this knit clutch is a great summer clutch for any neutral-toned outfit. It’s also handmade with scraps from the textile industry to reduce waste!
